NOTES:

• Key blade will need to be cut (this key uncut)
• For remote programming, you must have one original working remote key at least
• Please Note: You will need to have 2 original working keys if you wish to program the transponder chip with the procedure below.
• If you only have 1 working key it will need to be programmed by a locksmith (the procedure listed below will not work).
• Ensure you have all keys present during re-coding as any key not present will be removed from the memory.
• Please follow the recommended instructions!

 

 

 

How to program remote control - do it yourself:

This procedure will erase all previously programmed remotes. You must program all existing and new remotes that you wish to use on the vehicle at this time.

 

Preparatory Steps

 

• CLOSE and UNLOCK all doors using the power door locks.
• BUCKLE seat belts.
• Make sure that you don’t press the brake pedal at any time during or before the procedure.

 

Programming steps for Ford Falcon, Territory:

• 1. Sit in the car with the doors closed 
• 2. Turn the ignition to the ACC postition and press the rear demist button 3 times, within 5 seconds.
• 3. Within 10 seconds press any button on the first keyless remote to be programmed. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming. If you only have one remote then skip to step 5.
• 4. Within 10 seconds, press any button on the second keyless remote. Door locks will cycle again to confirm programming. Repeat step 4 for all other remotes.
• 5. Turn ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode.
• 6.There is a limit of 8 remotes per car. 
• 7.Your remotes are now programmed to your car.

 

Programming steps for Ford Focus, Fiesta, Mondeo:

• 1. Close all doors, then open driver's door and press the Unlock button on driver’s door while it is open, insert key into ignition.
• 2. Turn ignition from OFF to RUN 8 times within 8 seconds, with the 8th time ending in RUN. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming mode. (if the door locks do not cycle, then it was done incorrectly. You must start over by removing key and beginning from step 1)
• 3. Within 10 seconds press any button on the first keyless remote to be programmed. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming. If you only have one remote then skip to step 5.
• 4. Within 10 seconds, press any button on the second keyless remote. Door locks will cycle again to confirm programming. Repeat step 4 for all other remotes.
• 5. Turn ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode.

If this does not work try the procedure with the door closed.

 

Please note: All steps should be performed in fairly rapid succession. If you never get the initial chime or door lock cycle, that means the vehicle has never entered programming mode. You should remove key from ignition, open and close the door and start over.

 

How to program the key:

• 1. Sit in the driver's seat with doors closed and put the first coded key into the ignition & turn the key to the ACC position. 
• 2. Now turn this key to the OFF position & remove the key.
• 3. Within 5 seconds put the 2nd coded key into the ignition & turn this key to the ON position.
• 4. Turn this key back to the OFF position and remove the key.
• 5. The door locks will then cycle to indicate that the learning mode is active.
• 6. Within 5 seconds put the NEW key into the ignition & turn to the ON position. 
• 7. The door locks will cycle 3 times to indicate the 3rd key has been trained, ensure you wait for the locks to finish cycling before turning the key to the OFF position.
• 8. Repeat this step for any following keys. The 4th key trained will cycle the locks 4 times, and so on. You can train up to a maximum of 8 keys.
