How to Replace the Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Tank

  • Prepare the Vehicle – Park on a level surface, turn off the engine, and let it cool.
  • Locate the Reservoir – Find the power steering fluid reservoir tank, usually near the engine.
  • Drain the Fluid – Use a syringe or drain plug (if available) to remove old fluid.
  • Disconnect Hoses – Loosen the hose clamps and carefully detach the hoses. Be ready for some fluid spillage.
  • Remove the Old Reservoir – Unscrew or unclip the mounting bolts / brackets and take out the old tank.
